A lot of people see them as owls, I’ve been calling this batch sparrows.
For the body, wings, and head I use antique hardwood veneer of off weathered antique furniture such as dressers, desks, and old TV cabinets.
The breast portions of two of these are cut from vintage playing cards. For the third, larger one, I used a piece of a vintage Purina feed sack.
The legs are barbed wire, and the backer and frames are made of 100 year old pine and oak barnwood. The vintage buttons are from the Eugenia Baird collection, from my Efland place.
