A batch of three RR Spike coat racks made from vintage reclaimed wood and found spikes.
This is one of the first designs I came up with when I started selling at craft markets in 2013.
- Two of the three were made with barnwood from Confluence.
- The third was made from a salvaged 1920s head casing from a house in Braggtown, Durham, NC.
- I used barnwood and 1920’s picture molding salvaged in Old West Durham for the top trim pieces.
- The railroad spikes are salvaged along the tracks, discarded when rails are being replaced.
