This is a large batch of my popular reclaimed wood and vintage golf club plaques made for the 2015 Holiday season.Since I started making these in 2013, I have traditionally used reclaimed pine kitchen cabinets as the main portions of the plaques. For this batch, it was all hands on deck and I scoured my shop for all available 12″ wood.

The majority of the off-white plaques in this batch were made from a batch of built in cabinets that I salvaged from a house in Durham where they were gutting a study. Some of the off-white ones, with more distressed paint, were from a set of Durham kitchen cabinets.

The brown in this batch also includes cherry pieces from some study cabinets from another Durham house. Some of the brown are also from the Wilson St. study mentioned above.

The frames are all 1920’s heart pine lath salvaged in Durham, NC. I gathered the vintage golf clubs from a variety of thrift stores and metal scrap yards in the Durham area. I like the stainless steel, cast vintage clubs for these plaques.

These sell like hotcakes on Etsy and at my shows. Each one is assembled and written by hand by me. They’re like snowflakes, no two are the same!
